November in Eastern Washington has to be one of the best months of the year to be outdoors. Not only is there plenty to do in the fields and forests of the “right” side of the state with all the various hunting seasons open, there are all kinds of opportunities for anglers not wanting to store their gear for the year. Several lakes remain open year round and offer some outstanding fishing for trout, walleye and even bass. Lakes like Lenore, Moses, Potholes, Banks and others provide some excellent fishing as the fish feed in preparation of the winter months to come. [more]
If you haven’t noticed, right now there are somewhere close to 300,000 steelhead swimming in the Columbia River and its tributaries above Bonneville Dam. And while some of those fish have migrated up the Little White Salmon, the Klickitat, the Deschutes and other streams, a good portion of them are still in the Columbia, or in the Snake, making their way upstream. What this means to anglers who haven’t yet had their fill of catching summer steelhead is now is the time to get after them. [more]
